Healthy fudge brownies
These fantastically moist, super healthy, fat-free and irresistible healthy fudge brownies will be the perfect Easter or anyday treat. They are full of healthy fruits and veggies, fat-free, gluten-free, milk-free and refined-sugar free. And with a secret, but super important ingredient!
I just arrived back home from one of my favourite cities New York (and yes I did do some cake- research that you will enjoy soon). It was great, but getting home I was super jet-lagged. This jetlag has made me want to bake a lot of different versions of brownies. Not getting your beauty sleep when you are suppose to sleep, can sometimes be productive. And the result this time was these amazing Healthy Fudge Brownies with a secret ingredient.
Other healthy cakes and bakes that I am making for this Easter holiday is my classic Orange and almond cake, the healthy cinnamonrolls and the Healthy banana pudding cake.
Healthy fudge brownies
So moist, irresistible and yummy. Your friends will never guess that these healthy fudge brownies are stuffed with nutrients and in addition fat-free!
Ingredients:
1 can/ 400 grams chickpeas
100 grams applepure (I use organic)
1 banana, ripe, medium
30 grams acasia honey
80 grams organic rice malt syrup
1,5 desilitres milk of choice (soy/oat/coconut/lactose-free/regular)
3-4 tablespoons water
50 grams almond flour, fat reduced
40 grams coconut flour, fat reduced
30 grams cacao
4 eggs, small
1 tablespoon psyllium husk (fibre supplement)
2 teaspoons baking powder
Method:
- Blend the chickpeas, banana and all the wet ingredients with a blender or food processor.
- Add all the dry ingredients, and mix carefully with a whisk until smooth.
- Pour into two long bread tins, one round 24 cm cake tin or as me a rectangular tin.
- Bake at 170 degrees celsius for 30-35 minutes. The healthy fudge brownies will be moist and fudgy inside. Cool down and cover with rich chocolate frosting.
For a chocolate frosting you can use for example The worlds healthiest chocolate frosting, or the frosting used on the Dark chocolate banana brownie or on the Healthy banana pudding cake.
That Cake Chick wishes you a fantastically happy Easter!
