Down to earth café and market – Healthy and sweet, without compromising
The second day I stumbeled upon I place that I have never explored before, but fell in love with after one look at the menu, and at the cakes + ice- cream. A cafe and market called Down to earth in kensington (just up the street from high street kensington underground station) that specialize in dairy- free, gluten- free, organic, vegan and raw- food. AND they even have an own farm 10 minutes of of the city! Even my friend who is meat- lover enjoyed it (!). They also serve organic, homemade afternoon tea, but oops; it is only from 0400 pm til 0600 pm.
On my first visit I had the pumpkin pie, carrot- and fennel salad, detox- juice and a fantastic creamy “raw” cake made of raisin, apple, vanilla and spelt for dessert (pictured above). I also bought with me some organic Manuka honey from the market. I had to go there one second time, and I must say that the organic coffee ice- cream paired with their gluten- free brownie was super-nice.
Whenever you go, or whatever craving you have I suggest you try the special hand tied green- tea; Flora tea which turn into a flower after some minutes in your glass. I had the Flower Lover. It is almost too beautiful to drink. It is born in 2 minutes below.
Have a super Saturday, and have your cake!
